5 billion dollars export target to Germany in automotive

Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB) organized a seminar to develop sectoral commercial relations with Germany, which exports approximately 250 billion euros annually. OIB Chairman of the Board Baran Çelik said, "We exported 4.4 billion dollars last year to Germany, the biggest market of the Turkish automotive industry. We aim to export more than 5 billion dollars this year to Germany, where we make about a quarter of our supply industry exports."

Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB) organized a seminar titled "New Opportunities in Automotive Exports to Germany" in order to develop sectoral commercial relations with Germany, which exports approximately 250 billion Euros of automotive annually.

The seminar, where German OEM and Tier1 companies' expectations from Turkish suppliers and the importance of the project approach in their procurement processes were discussed, hosted by OIB Chairman Baran Celik, with the participation of Munich Commercial Attache Ali Bayraktar, together with officials from ZF, TUV Rheiland and integrator ASN Danışmanlık/Do-It. carried out.


OIB Chairman of the Board Baran Celik, who made the opening speech of the online seminar, said that their aim is to increase the cooperation between Turkey and Germany, which are among the deep-rooted and powerful partners of the world automotive industry, and to further strengthen the existing relations Baran Çelik, who gave information about automotive exports to Germany at the beginning of his speech, said that Germany has been in the first place in the Turkish automotive industry exports for many years, that in 2022 they had a 14 percent share of the sector's total exports and that they exported 4.4 billion dollars of automotive to Germany.

Stating that they exported 3 billion dollars to Germany with a 68 percent share in the supply industry and 745 million dollars in passenger cars, Baran Çelik said, "In summary, we make about a quarter of our supply industry exports to Germany. In 2023, our automotive exports to Germany is 5 billion dollars. We aim to exceed the dollar," he said.
